Project Description
The HMCS Yukon: From Naval Ship to Marine Habitat
Keely Davies
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
The HMCS Yukon is a Canadian destroyer that was purposely sunk, along with several other ships, near the coast of San Diego. These shipwrecks now form artificial reefs in Wreck Alley, which is a popular diving spot. Strawberry anemones (Corynactis californica), plumose anemones (Metridium farcimen), and golden gorgonians (Muricea californica) are just some of the sea life that is found on and around these ships!
