Golden Angel’s Trumpet (Brugmansia aurea) is a plant species in the nightshade (Solanaceae) family. This popular ornamental shrub grows to about 20 feet tall and has large yellow to white flowers. All species of Brugmansia contain tropane alkaloids, which can cause anticholinergic syndrome, delirium and hallucinations. All parts of the plant are considered toxic, especially the leaves and seeds.
