Project Description
Minerals
Jordan Newman
Watercolor
Clockwise from top left: chalcopyrite, agate, fluorite, vanadinite. These examples show a small selection of the lusters (metallic, vitreous, adamantine), diaphaneities (opaque, translucent, transparent), habits (massive, microcrystalline, prismatic), and colors found in minerals. Watercolor paint was used to create the transitions and variations in color and tone found in these minerals.
