In my backyard, we grow citrus trees such as limes, lemons, and oranges. This navel orange tree produces ripe fruit during the winter season. Inside the orange, you are likely to see another small tiny orange located on the opposite side of the stem. Viewed from outside, this looks like a person’s navel! As a rule of thumb, the bigger the navel, the sweeter the orange.
