“The Hypothenemus hampei, also known as the Borer beetle, are small (1.5mm) beetles that feed off of coffee beans. The female bores her eggs in the coffee bean, and once her larvae are hatched, the beetles consume the inside of the coffee bean. These beetles can be harmful to coffee crops.
