Pen & Ink Octopuses have always been animals that fascinate me and capturing their fluid quality is something I strive to capture in my art. For this piece I used micron pens to create texture and depth and shadow through stipple. I really enjoy the texture I captured here and the lighting but looking back regret some of the unnecessary bulging in the tentacles. Octopuses have always been one of my favorite subjects to draw and each time I do I learn a new important characteristic of their anatomy.
