Watercolor The Belted Kingfisher has been my favorite bird locally for quite a long time and the European counterpart has been a bird I have been interested by for equally as long. I find it fascinating that there are kingfishers spread across the entire globe and that each one has adapted so perfectly to its respective environment. I found my watercolor and style used for this piece very successful and hope to continue this piece eventually by adding more kingfishers from around the world.
