The stone in the mood ring is made up by hallow glass shell filled with thermotrophic liquid crystals or a clear glass stone sitting on top of a thin sheet of liquid crystals.

* Blue – Calm or relaxed

* Dark blue – Happy, romantic or passionate

* Blue-green – somewhat relaxed

* Green – Normal or average

* Gray – very nervous or anxious

* Amber – a little nervous or anxious

* Black – stressed, tense
