Lamisil is an antifungal drug used to treat fungal infections. Lamisil is manufactured by Swiss company named Novartis. The active ingredient of Lamisil is Terbinafine.

Usually fungal infections affect the toenails, fingernails, athlete’s food,ringworm. They cause itching and discomfort. Sometimes you can easily get fungal infection and it will be difficult to treat. Fungal infections can affect nails as well as skin or hair.

Currently Lamisil is one of the most prescribed antimycotic preparations which has proven its high efficiency. The medication should not be used to treat viral infections for example common cold or flu. Take the drug as long as doctor prescribed it because sometimes it requires several months to treat infected nails. In some cases fungal symptoms may improve before the treatment is ended.

If you are using Lamisil cream it should be applied to the infected area twice a day. The infected area should be clean before you will apply the cream.

You can use Lamisil pills with food or without it. Alcohol drinking is contraindicated while taking Lamisil it could be harmful to your liver. Make sure to let your doctor know if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking some medicines.

The following side effect can appear while taking Terbinafine: severe skin rash; sore throat, stomach pain, tiredness, vomiting, yellowing of skin or eyes, peeling skin, persistent nausea, unexplained vision changes.
